Hands-Free Calls from the Malibu

By Laurie | December 23, 2010

Remember that girl’s shopping trip Nikki and I took over the weekend? When I left the house in the morning I noticed that I had accidentally left my cell phone on the counter in my rush to leave to meet her. I was thankful for the OnStar hands-free phone service that I had purchased (around $6 for 60 minutes) and I was able to call her from the car to let her know I was going back home for my phone. I almost always have my phone with me (it’s like another appendage), but in an instance that I do leave it behind it is nice to have a way to call someone so that you are not leaving them hanging. Here’s a short video from OnStar that explains more about the service.

I also like that my Chevy Malibu has it’s own phone number and that my husband can call me there when I am on my way home from work everyday. I am able to answer his call by simply pressing the phone button on the steering wheel and there is notification on the radio of how many minute I have left to use before I need to purchase more minutes. It is definitely one of my favorite features!

Disclosure: The Gotta Love Chevy DFW Campaign is being sponsored by North Texas Chevy Dealers who have given the chosen bloggers a 2011 Chevy Malibu to test drive for one month and to blog about our experiences using the vehicle. Girlfriend Getaway has given us some fun projects to do and will be providing us with gift cards to allow us to do this.
