ICE! ICE! BABY! 2010 Edition
By Laurie | November 29, 2010
We spent Thanksgiving at the beautiful Gaylord Texan with my parents and had an incredible brunch. They have everything under the sun including mimosas, sushi, several chocolate fountains and of course traditional holiday foods. It’s still not as good as a home cooked meal in my opinion, but it is way better than having to cook and then clean it up yourself!

Afterward we went to ICE! Even though it was over 80 degrees the day before, it finally felt like Fall and Thanksgiving. We also spent last year there too, and the theme was How the Grinch Stole Christmas. This year it was A Charlie Brown Christmas, which I love. I cried when I heard Charles Shultz died. It was fun to see the story carved in 2 million pounds of ice!

After Ice! we walked around the hotel and looked at all the beautiful decorations and trees, and all of the fun holiday themed activities there are to do. It definitely gets you into the holiday spirit.

I hope everyone had a wonderful, fun and eventful holiday with your families. I am pretty sure I am officially ready for Christmas! How about you?!

I am soooooo ready for Christmas
) (I’ve been ready since last Christmas!)
Posted by: Sandy MDo you think this is something worth taking a 2 year old to see?
Posted by: TiffanyTiffany- to be honest I didn’t see a lot of really little ones at ICE (also it is kind of pricey), but he may really enjoy it. There is a huge ice slide. There are also a ton of other activities for kids going on in the hotel and a ton of things to look at and take photos with.
Posted by: LaurieTiffany, i think 3 and under get in free! And I think he would want to go… we took my lil brother. but thats just my thoughts.
