Help Me Find a Cure and win an iPod
By Laurie | October 6, 2009
Breast Cancer Awareness Month snuck up on me. I had plans to post a giveaway a day, and I got lazy busy and didn’t write my posts before I left for Florida.
| I have several great breast cancer awareness products to review, so I hope to get caught up this week. Please come back to visit me and enter. In the meantime, I really need to get a jumpstart on fundraising for my 2010 Komen 3-Day next November. It has been unbelievably hard so far, and I am actually really sad about that. I know I have not been working as hard as I should have, and I probably wasted a lot of opportunities this weekend to drum up more support and get the word out. |
| My iPod giveaways are always incredibly popular and bring out a lot of great donations, so what better time than now? Apple just came out with a new model of the nano, and it includes video recording, FM Radio, and even a pedometer! |
Two prizes are better than one, right? I will give a free ipod nano (your choice of color) away to someone who makes a $20 (or more) donation to my walk. In addition, I will also give a free ipod shuffle to someone who makes a $5-$19 donation or helps me spread the word by posting about this on your blog, tweeting, stumbling, or any other way you can think of (one entry for each way you help). You can also earn one entry by leaving me a comment of support.
Here is a more detailed explanation of how to earn entries for the iPod Shuffle:
1) Leave a comment with words of encouragement for my 60 mile walk for one entry.
2) Write your own blog post about my giveaway and link to this post for one entry.
3) Follow me on Twitter and send the following message for one entry each day that you tweet:
RT: Win an iPod Nano or Shuffle to benefit Susan G. Komen. Support @laurie_pooh here: http://bit.ly/4en5Z9 #3day
4) Let me know what other ways you helped spread the word (include your link) for one entry.
There is only one way to earn an entry for the iPod Nano:
1) Make a donation of $20 (or more) to my Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day.
Just to be clear, this giveaway is not sponsored. I will purchasing both the iPod Nano and Shuffle using 100% of my own funds, and not money that is donated. All money donated through this link goes directly to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Random.org will be used to select the winner of each prize and your chances of winning depend on how many donations and/or comments are made. I reserve the right to announce when the winners will be decided. Good Luck, and thank you for your support!
