Yoplait Whips! Review and Giveaway

I am always honest in my reviews of products, and I’m pretty sure I have mentioned what I am about to say elsewhere on my blog before. I actually am not a big fan of yogurt. There, I said it. I know it’s good for me, but darn it… it’s hard for me to even finish an entire 8oz serving. I also try to get at least one a day in when I am dieting as part of my dairy requirement.

I had the opportunity to try several different kinds of Yoplait yogurt this week thanks to MyBlogSpark who sent me coupons for (2) free Yoplait Whips! I am pleased to inform you that I enjoyed both kinds… A LOT!

They come in flavors like Strawberry Mist, Chocolate, Key Lime Pie, Orange Crème, Chocolate Raspberry, Lemon Burst, Peaches ‘N Cream, Raspberry Mousse and their newest flavor Vanilla Creme. I decided to try the Lemon and Lime varieties. I also received a really neat little gift pack that included a cooler tote, popsicle molds and a set of 12 color-changing spoons. Guess what? I don’t know why I have never thought of freezing yogurt before, but the popsicle molds gave me the inspiration to go for it. I had fun mixing the lemon and lime together and was really looking forward to having it. The instructions said to freeze for several hours (which I did), but I the stick did not get molded to my yogurt. No worries though, because I was able to use one of the spoons to get it out of the mold. It tasted just like a light frozen treat. I have to admit that I tasted a spoonful of each while I was filling the molds, and the Yoplait Whips! yogurt was really good just as it is out of the container. Next time I get them (yes, there is actually going to be a next time!) I plan on just putting the whole container in the freezer and skipping the mold. Oerall I really enjoyed Yoplait Whips! They didn’t have that heavy, thick, and overly sweet taste you usually get with regular yogurt. The lemon and lime flavors were not overpowering either.

  59. I really like a variety of Crystal Light juices (or yogurt, or italian ices, or sherbert, or…) frozen into a halved orange rind, or lemon rind, or lime rind, or grapefruit rind… The natural oils of the peel add dramatically to the flavor of the frozen treat inside.
