Read my interview with Health & donate to Komen

At the very beginning of the month I was contacted by a reporter, Heather Mayer, from CNN/Heath.com asking to interview me for a story about using social media to raise money for breast cancer. |
That has kind of been a big part of my life for the past few years, so I gladly agreed since I had the free time on my hands and had just finished doing a big fundraiser that involved Twitter and my blog a few months prior.
The story, Can Twitter and Facebook Help Fight Breast Cancer?, went live yesterday. I have already posted the link on Twitter and my Facebook, but if you missed it I hope you will check it out. I think the authors do a really good job of highlighting why I am doing what I am doing, as well as talk about other people I admire who are using social media to make a big difference.

Also, if you are feeling charitable, Susan G. Komen has a donor who is willing to double any donation that is given before August 2. If you donate $1, it will be matched if you follow this link. This doesn’t go toward any of the walks I am participating in, but it all goes to the same place which funds important research and outreach programs in our communities. |
