New Hair

By Laurie | July 23, 2009

I can’t believe tomorrow is Friday. The work week has gone incredibly fast. Things are going really well for those of you who have asked. Not too much has been going on. Last weekend I ‘got my hair did’ and honestly it’s been awhile since I have had it professionally done. I always like to post about it and who did it, because I am able to look back and decide if I like it. This time around it was Renee (color) and Judy (cut). I haven’t had blonde highlights in awhile, so I’m wondering if it’s a bad dye job or my eyes are just not used to how light some of the pieces are. You can’t really tell from this picture by the way.

I had been just sticking with an all-over color in an ashy brown (except for the red-toned disaster of June). From the picture, I think it looks really pretty and natural with the mix of highlights and lowlights. In person, it doesn’t quite look like that. Also, I can never get it that straight and fly-away free… no matter what I do. I wish I could employ Judy to blow my hair out every morning. I’d pay her in bagels and Starbucks, but I doubt that is enough.

Nothing much else is new. I am getting excited about going to New York in a few weeks and need to start thinking about what I want to pack since the work week is going to be so hectic. I’m also having car drama, but I will spare you all the details. I am currently in a rental now. The Chihuahua Races are taking place the day I am leaving, so we are going to hurry over in the morning to watch Brownie race and then I will take off in the afternoon.

That’s about it. I hope everyone has a great Friday and weekend. I’m off to bed! I have become a 10:00 PM light’s out girl these days, a far cry from my 4:00 AM stumbles to bed.

  1. I think it really looks cute!

We must certainly make some far off plans to go to Blogher next year (no matter where Im living). I’m hoping they’ll do it somewhere that’s drivable, say less than 10 hours. Something tells me they won’t do it in Texas though.

  4. Thanks Jean! I saw it costs $200, and now I am rethinking it. Hopefully I can commit before they sell out again.

  7. Oh my gosh, I know right? I loved my hair the day or 2 after I got it cut, but after that…. I couldn’t get it to look like it did. SAD thing…. these hair stylists have magical powers!
