I was in a youth group and we helped organize the state wide gatherings and funding raising projects. I remember falling asleep stuffing gift bags at 12 years old and waking up around 4am to my mom and grandmother counting them and finally saying okay, I guess no sleep tonight lets get them to the lobby. Volunteering is one of the activities that I look forward each summer. I didn't get any monetary reward from doing it but I feel complete and satisfied after my volunteer work. I guess, it's because I knew deep inside that even I am just me, a simple lass without any remarkable talent, I can still impart myself to others through volunteering.
