The Weekend Ahead

My head is pounding. I’ve had an interesting past few days. They really seem to run together. Can you believe it’s May? I can’t. Can you believe it’s Friday? I really can’t. How is it that time is going by so quickly?
Tonight (because it’s 1:33 AM) we are going to pick up the check from On The Border for our Breast Cancer Fundraiser. With all of the online donations and the money from the restaurant, I made my $500 goal. It is amazing what you can accomplish when you are dedicated and have a wonderful support system and friends. Thank you supporters!
| We’re also going to go see Wolverine. Yes, I know it was leaked online, but I didn’t see it. I have heard good things and bad, but I think it’s just one of those things that you have to go into with an open mind looking for a good time. We’ll see. I’ve liked all the other ones, so why should this be any different? I see that it has an A- from viewers on Yahoo!, but is only 36% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Of course there are a lot of what I call Movie Snobs on that site, so I don’t know why I am really surprised. It will be fun none-the-less to get out and enjoy our first real “Date Night” in a long time. |  |
I have also gotten really into playing Texas Hold’em online with some of my spare time. I am excited because I might get to play with a friend and some people he knows this weekend. It’s been a long time since I played live, and I wasn’t all that good back then. I’m still not very good, but hopefully I won’t loose my $20 too quickly.

Congrats on making your goal!! You’re so dedicated to this cause and I admire your perserverance to raise money!!
Brendan and I want to take Jayse to see the new Wolverine movie. I don’t know when we’ll be able to go but hopefully soon! If anything, Hugh Jackman is wonderful eye candy!
Saturday I’m taking my aunt and my Mom down to my sisters in Monterey. Sunday Brendan, the kids and I and some of our friends will be going to our downtown wine festival. I’m hoping the weather holds out though because the forecast is looking bleak. If all else fails and it rains we’ll come back to our house and pop open a couple of bottles of wine and have our own wine fest in our living room!
Have a great weekend! Oh, I got the pin and sticker in the mail a couple of days ago! Thank you!! Now all I need to do is win the t-shirt and I’m all set!

It sounds like you have a super fun weekend planned! You guys always go to the coolest sounding events. Makes me wish I lived there again a little bit! I’ll let you know how the movie goes, and after you see it with Jayse we can compare notes. For sure, good eye candy! haha

Congrats on making your goal!!
My week was full and everything got canceled and was stuck in the house. That is okay though I made up for it this weekend. We went to the children museums, a fairy festival, got the toddlers first haircut (sniff sniff) and went to another museum called OMSI and saw the DaVinci exhibit. Geek in me was pushing all the little kids aside to play with the replica’s.
Hope you had a fun time and enjoyed the Movie looks good.
