Tackle it Tuesday

| It’s been a minute, okay a lot of minutes, since I last participated in Tackle it Tuesday. It’s not that I haven’t been tackling, because I totally have! I promise. I just have sadly not been blogging about it. But guess what?! At the crack of 11:45 PM I decided to go out in the front yard and snap a picture of what I’ve been up to. It’s been a work in progress that started on Earth Day, last Wednesday. It continued this weekend when I finished the second tree, and then again today. |  |
It might not look like much, but it’s dark. The weather tonight is beautiful too, by the way. I actually didn’t really go out to take a picture. I did plant some pretty purple flowers around the trees earlier in the afternoon, and went out to give them a little Miracle Grow watering before I head off to bed. I thought why not take a photo too. Not sure why I didn’t think of it earlier in the day, but oh well. This far away shot obviously doesn’t do it justice. You can’t see anything but the fiberglass rings! There’s a better pic below.
Last week you might remember that I pulled the tree back up when it fell over from the heavy winds, and put new mulch and a fiberglass ring around each tree. I am really hoping this helps the one that just won’t stand upright. Here is closeup:
My red gerbera daisies that I planted in the beds close to the house are starting to bloom again too! I have never really been the gardening type of person, but I knew when we had a house I would at least try my hand at it. I don’t have a green thumb, but I am excited to see something that I planted actually survived a whole entire year. This is a big deal folks, celebrate with me!

It looks great! I definitly want to plant some flowers around my tree as well and I’m not a green thumb type either.
