This Spring, it’s raining shoes!

By Laurie | April 20, 2009

I admit it, I’m a shoe snob. Before you write me off, let me explain. When it comes to shoes for the office, I am a big fan of well-made, high quality shoes. I like real leather vs. pleather. I’m not saying I’ve never owned a pair of faux leather shoes. Of course I have! I even heart the shoe sections at some well-known discount stores. After walking around in them for a day, do you know what happens? You guessed it! Your feet stink. The shoes stink. That is never good. If you take your shoes off under your desk at work, don’t think your co-workers don’t notice.

I have become a big fan of flats in the past few years. If you have a job where you have to move around a lot, go up and down stairs, or have a long walk from the parking lot, they are definitely the way to go. Yes, I love how a nice pair of heels make me look and feel just like the next girl. Sometimes you’ve got to be a little more practical. Have you ever tried to give a presentation or taught a training class full of people wearing 4 inch heels? I have, and would never do it again.

I love the stylish selection of daniblack flats. They are simple, yet have a little bit of edge. Are you into snakeskin? Do you light bright pretty leather? Bows? I also like pretty and strappy sandals. What about these sleek and chick black slingbacks? Those would be my choice. I think they are simple and professional, yet also are cute, fun, and look comfortable too.
We are going to a wedding next weekend, and I have been looking for a nice pair of heels too. I fell in love with these lipstick pink satin pumps from daniblack. Paired with a little black dress and the right jewelry, they would definitely be a nice pop of color for spring. Best of all? The price! It’s hard to find designer quality shoes for under $150, but here they are! They also use natural materials, not synthetics. That’s the real deal. I would totally wear them to the office too. Just not on a day where I had to be standing all day!

Both of these pairs of shoes were found at www.daniblack.com. What do you think of my two choices? If they are not your taste, which pair off their site would you go with? Let me know!

  3. So did you get the pink heels for the wedding? I’m supposed to go to a wedding this Saturday and I’ve got NOTHING to wear! Ugh! Wish we lived closer to each other so I could raid your closet. :) xoxo
