Good Fortune?

Today D took the day off, and we spent it together on an unsuccessful quest for the infamous Hello Kitty mirror, followed by lunch at Pei Wei. I was full after my Mongolian Beef and brown rice, but decided to crack open my cookie just to read my fortune:

I certainly hope that the long-awaited event is a new job. That’s what I took it to mean. I even ate the cookie too, just in case that’s the only way your fortune comes true. Yes, seriously. I am also wondering if maybe I should play the Texas Lottery tomorrow? For some reason I feel extra lucky.

We also went to see Watchmen, which was one of D’s more anticipated movies of late. He read the graphic novel that it is based on. I didn’t know much about it going into it, other than that the main female character’s name is Laurie. I wonder if we’ll see a surge of little Laurie’s running around in the next few years. It was pretty violent as far as superhero/comic book movies go. The plot was semi-interesting, and I am sure most of the fan boys were pleased with the result. I am not sure it is going to do too well at the box office, though D told me that it is the widest released movie ever and that it showed in more theaters at midnight than any other movie to date. Eh. I guess it just wasn’t on my radar, and I am usually on the pulse of what is mainstream. I just don’t think this is. |

Posted by: Jean M.Jean- I haven’t 100% decided when I will leave yet. Originally I was planning on Thursday, but it will depend on if if I need to schedule interviews that day or not. Also I ordered some business cards at the last minute and want to wait on them to get here. Fingers crossed that happens on or before Thursday.
If I’m still here, I’d love to have an IKEA adventure with you.
