SeaWorld Dolphin Bubbles

By Laurie | February 24, 2009

I’ve had a love for dolphins since I was a little girl. I grew up in Southern California, and my parents would take my brother and I to SeaWorld. It’s a magical place for a child. Where else can you see sea lions, killer whales and dolphins up close? I watched Flipper and dreamt of being able to swim with them. That dream came true when Dave and I went to the Bahamas for our honeymoon.

Dolphins are so smart and gentle. I was amazed at all of the things they can do, and it was fun to be able to interact with them. Last year my friend LeAnn and I took a girl’s weekend trip to SeaWorld in San Antonio and were able to pet and feed the dolphins there too.

Have you seen the new website, Dolphin Bubbles? There is a video that shows the dolphins at SeaWorld Orlando’s Discovery Cove playing with bubbles. It is really neat to watch, and I bet would be even more impressive in person. In addition, you can read the stories of families who have recently visited to get their first hand perspective on the experience. And guess what? You can now swim with the dolphins at Discovery Cove in Orlando or at Busch Gardens Tampa! That is something that I definitely recommend putting on your list of things to do in your lifetime. It is an experience that you will never forget. As you can see, I haven’t after four years!

  1. I absolutely LOVE the Dolphin Bubbles video!

Now, I’ve never considered myself really fascinated with dolphins – but the video is truly amazing. I found myself laughing and smiling while watching it.

  4. I really wanted to swim with the dolphins when we were on our cruise, but it was so expensive, and there were three of us to pay for at the time, so… I didn’t get to go. I think it would be amazing. I’m going to go watch the video now.

  5. Oh my, that sounds so fun. My son would flip. He adores dolphins – and sharks too. I’ll have to show him the video, at least. :)

  7. Oh my gosh! I swam with dolphins 2 years ago after dreaming about it for about 18 years. It was so incredible. I totally underestimated how large and powerful they are! I live in NJ and sometimes when I surf early in the morning they pass right by us :)
