My mom had a little "party" at her house. I enjoyed the show! Hugh Jackman is gorgeous and was a wonderful host! I too loved how they had previous winners come out and talk about each of the nominees for Supporting and Lead actor and actress. I was really happy to see Kate Winslet win finally and I was thrilled about Slumdog -mostly because it was the only movie I saw that was nominated but I did love it! I can't agree with you on Marisa Tomei's dress. It was compared to dinner napkins and I have to agree. But what the hell do I know - the majority of my wardrobe is from Wal-Mart! :) Oh and I was disappointed about Heath Ledger winning. I saw The Dark Knight and I don't think his performance was Oscar worthy - I thought there were others that were more deserving. But I do agree with you that some of his previous work did deserve recognition. All in all it was an enjoyable evening - good food, good company and a really good show! :) I think for next years awards I'm going to make an effort to see more of the nominated films - It definately makes the show much more interesting!!
