Only in Texas: Beware of Zombies
By Laurie | January 29, 2009
You have to love college kids and their pranks. You know those road signs that warn you about construction, traffic, or tell you to slow down? What would you do if you saw one that said “ZOMBIES AHEAD”? That’s just what Austin drivers saw on their morning commute yesterday. Check out the news footage below. Totally priceless.
It may seem funny, but the signs were actually locked and had to be cut into and hacked. It is a class C misdemeanor in Texas, so if they get caught they will be in some serious legal trouble. Still, I laughed my butt off at work after a co-worker sent it to me.
Check out the full story, Constructions Signs Warn of Zombies, on the KXAN website. And remember, Keep Austin Weird!

That is hilarious! I would hope that if they do find out who did it that they wouldn’t punish them too harshly. It’s not like they caused a horrible accident or anything! I see it has pretty harmless – but freaking hysterical!

Posted by: JillThat’s really funny. Someone did that in Indy last year, and it said that the aliens had landed. Haha.
Posted by: corrinSaw this on another blog, thought they were just joking and it was a photoshop. Now that it’s here too, it’s hilarious!
