I am Super Woman!

I had such a busy weekend. I do not even know where all the time went! My friend Nikki and I decided last year to start a tradition of taking a girl’s weekend shopping trip a few weeks before Christmas. Last year we stayed down in San Marcos and shopped until we dropped.
This year we had the same plan, but money is tight for both of us. With my pending surgery and hospital bills, there was no argument from me when she suggested last week that maybe we should keep it closer to home this year. |
Dave and I spend Friday night finishing up shopping for his family, so needless to say by Saturday night I was exhausted. Yesterday Nik and I hit two malls, indulged in minimal self-gifting, and even did a good deed. Our neighbor’s sister also invited D and I over for a Christmas gathering, so I felt like Super Woman making an appearance after all I had already been through. Partini, anyone?
I also now have major house envy. She has my exact taste, and apparently a limitless budget. Everything was absolutely perfect down to the accent walls and roman shades. I wish I had the time and money to make our place look like that.
I have been wrapping all day today, and even did gifts for all seven of the lady’s in D’s office. I still have some left to do, but my shopping is almost completely done which is what I was hoping to accomplish this weekend. I probably won’t feel like doing anything for at least a week after I get home from the hospital.
I have an unbelievable amount of things to do at work next week so that I won’t feel bad about being out for a week. There is also going to be a camera crew filming for a marketing video. Hopefully that won’t be distracting and I can get down to business.
I should be in bed, so off I go. I hope everyone had a lovely weekend, and I will be by to read all about it later tomorrow!
