Saturday Night Celebration

By Laurie | November 16, 2008

Last night we went out to Watters Creek to celebrate Nikki’s Birthday. We started off at Grimaldi’s for pizza and ended up at Cru for a few different “flights” of wine. I tried six different types of white wine from around the world and I discovered that I really like grapefruit and melon combinations. Dave had a couple of beers and made fun of us being silly as we insisted on taking pictures with the Christmas lights.

What flight are we on?

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

  1. YAY for picture with the Christmas lights! I must say it is feeling more Christmasy every day. I was cleaning our office and popped open the Christmas section from itunes! HA!

  2. I need to do more exploring at Watters Creek now that more of it is open. My husband and I had a small “date” on Friday night at Brio, but we haven’t been to Cru yet, sounds like a good place to go.

  3. Cute top…and I’m so jealous because we don’t have any friends to go out with. Mike is friends with a guy he works with, who I like, but his wife is way annoying.

  4. Stacey, it seems like Christmas starts earlier every year! I love the lights and music so I don’t mind that it all started in October.

  5. That little area is growing so much, Lynne! I like a lot of the stores that are there and it is not too crowded yet. Cru was a lot of fun. I believe they open at 4:30 during the week, and on Thursday they have some discounted drinks. It was a really nice place if you are looking for somewhere new to check out. How did you like Brio? I haven’t been there yet, but I’ve wanted to since I saw the one in Southlake.

  6. Corrin– yet another reason for you to move to Texas? :) We don’t go out with just couples too often, so it’s a lot of fun when we do. For awhile there were four groups of us who would take turns choosing a restaurant each month. We’ve kind of fallen off on that though.
