Word of the Day: Mammogram
By Laurie | October 7, 2008
The second word game over at Pink for October has been posted and it is MAMMOGRAM. Here is my photo:

In all honesty, I have never had a mammogram. I just turned 30 this year. From what I have read, you are usually suppose to wait until your 40s to have your first one. That may be old information though, because I have heard of many cases of much younger women going through breast cancer lately. I plan on getting my first one done soon, because I have a small bump on one of mine. I was told by my OBGYN that it is just a cyst, but it’s never a bad thing to get a second opinion.
Since it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I encourage all of you ladies to make your mammogram appointments. I will do the same. I just read a great post from a fellow blogger by the recommendation of Jeannie, who just had her first one earlier this month. She said it didn’t hurt even a little bit, so don’t let that fear of pain keep you from making this very important appointment.
