By Laurie | September 30, 2008
Happy October! I am excited to get Breast Cancer Awareness Month off to a great start by offering an awesome giveaway! Win this 2008 Limited Edition Breast Cancer Awareness CHI Flat Iron that includes a cute pink tote. It’s worth $139.99, but you can earn entries to win it by leaving comments on my blogs, Twittering about the contest, Stumbling the Contest, writing about the contest on your own blog, and/or making a donation to my 3-Day walk that benefits Susan G. Komen.

This is the CHI Pink Limited Edition Breast Cancer Awareness Flat Iron (2008 Model), just released in August 2008. This professional salon flat iron helps create silky, shiny hair instantly. This flat iron is exactly the same as the Original CHI Flat Iron (1″), except it has the breast cancer ribbon insignias all over it and is pink in color.
It’s easy to enter: leave a comment on this post telling me why you want to win (for one entry), visit and comment on the post at Our3Day.com (for one additional entry), follow me on Twitter or if you already do send a tweet about the contest (for five additional entries), Stumble one or both of my sites (for five additional entries), and make a minimum $5 donation to my 3-Day walk (for twenty additional entries).
This contest is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada. Comments will be closed October 31. Please also remember to use your real e-mail address and first name so that I can contact you. If you do not follow the instructions in this post, your comment will be deleted. Good Luck!

I just love pink and of course I’m all about the Ta Tas too. I had a scare recently with a suspicious mammagram, but everything seems ok for now!

She gets her satisfaction from knowing her mother is well cared for and not in a nursing home. Therefor she doesn’t have money for life’s little neccessities like a flat iron. The color pink would always remind her that her mother is a SURVIVOR.

Thanks so much for a wonderful contest and most of all for all of the breast cancer awareness and support !!

Reasons I want to win this nice CHI Pink Limited Edition Breast Cancer Awareness Flat Iron is:
1. Every time I pick it up it will remind me of my body, to do my self checks.
2. It will be the reminder of my sisters mother-in-law that is a survivor
3. My grandmother lost her fight when my mom was only 3 years old, she never knew her mother.
4. Because I need a good flat iron
5. Pink looks good in my bathroom (okay I am just teasing with that one but 5. looks better than 4. answers).
Thank you for the chance and please everyone (women AND men) do those self checks!

I normally blow dry my very long hair to make it as straight as I can but I can seem to achieve that ultra straight look that I want and I know it is because I am not using the right tool to make it work. Of course, I also love the fact that the flat iron is Pink - it will be a daily reminder of how important my own breast care health is and make me conscious of it all the time!

Posted by: alice t on October 31st, 2008 at 12:53 pmHi! Thanks for the contest. I would love to win so I can tame my crazy fuzz. I have straight hair, generally, but I get these fuzzy little curly hairs and such that are ruining the sleek look I’m going for. I hear Chi is an excellent product line & has uniform heating so I wont burn some parts of my hair while trying to flatten others. Also, I read that Nicole Ritchie’s best beauty tip is curling her hair with a flat iron. Sounds tricky, but I would love to try that! Thanks, again, and thanks for the support of a great cause.

Posted by: Rachel Belkin on October 31st, 2008 at 3:07 pmI work in a downtown office buidling and the garage is a few blocks away. The hummidity in the summer or the hat you have to wear in the winter can be hazardous to a good hair day. So to help with bad hair a few of us straighten our hair at work. This would be a great iron to use because the foot traffic in the ladies restroom in the morning is heavy and it will remind everyone how serious breast cancer is and will hopefully spark a conversation on awarness. I feel it is our responsiblity as a woman to help each other out and remind each other how important it is to do self exams.
