Date Night(s) and Other Ramblings

| I suppose I’m a sucker for bad Kevin Costner movies, so Dave and I are going to see Swing Vote tomorrow night (well, tonight since it’s midnight now) at our local Studio Movie Grill. They are always inviting us to see free movies before they come out. I think this one will be out on August 1. I’ll let you know if it’s any good. When is the last time Kevin made a good movie? Hmm. I am even more excited about HellBoy on Friday! I’m a big fan of the original movie. If you haven’t seen it, I really recommend it. If you don’t like typical comic book movies, there’s a nice love story too. D and I have planned a date night around it. In theory, I guess we are having two date nights in a row! |  |
Other than that, not too much else is going on. Just work, and D and have been enjoying our gym membership (though I don’t think I’m losing any weight). Nikki and I also took a walk today, and are getting together on Sunday to brainstorm and make some plans for our future fundraising events for our Breast Cancer 3-Day coming up in November. I’ve met my personal goal of $3000 and have quite a bit of cash put away to add to it or help Nikki meet her goal. I also have hundreds of rubber duckies and charm bracelets sitting in our living room, so plans must be made to peddle them in front of a grocery store or Wal-Mart ASAP! I’ve been selling them at work too, and people have been really nice and supportive as always.
I know I promised pictures from the 4th. I never get on my PC anymore now that I have a work laptop at home. I know, I’m bad. I haven’t uploadedthe pics yet. Really they weren’t all that great to be honest. My camera taking techniques for shotting fireworks are not very good, and I even read an article on it before we left. Oh well!
Today I got an e-mail from my friend Lisa’s mom. They are starting to plan her 30th birthday. It’s going to be in Cali at DisneyLand. at exclusive Club 33. Hopefully she already knows and isn’t reading this, but I am very excited! I’ve been pricing airfare and hotels (another hobby of mine) on Expedia, and D and I are going to plan to go. Must.Start.Saving.Now. We haven’t had a “real” vacation since our honeymoon, so I think we are going to try to stay a few extra days and enjoy the state of our birth. There will be In-N-Out! There will be Yoshinoya! Is it January yet?!

OMG! I was planning a trip to Disneyland in January after (or if) I graduate!! I was just talking about it with the kids yesterday!
