Unleased– 4th Annual Chihuahua Races

I just registered Brownie for the 4th Annual PETCO Chihuahua Races. It’s early this year– April 26 at 10 AM. That means we do not have very long to prepare. I don’t think his chances are very good. This will be our third year to participate, and the first year he technically came in second because he sniffed the winners butt all the way to the finish line. Last year he went a few feet before turning around and going back to Dave. His brother Ty does pretty good though, and has been a semi-finalist both years.
They are doing some different things this year too. There will be some kind of award for the most spirited chi family. Perhaps matching t-shirts and signs are in our future? We’ll see. It’s at the same location as last year. I don’t think it will be as hot since it is normally in June and the weather has been super mild here already this year.
