Cory Case Memorial Fund

I was checking my blog stats over the weekend, and I noticed that a lot of people have been directed to my site when searching Google for information on Cory Case. I wrote a post about him here. When I got to work this morning, I had an e-mail in my inbox from Krista about the memorial fund that has been established in his name at Baylor University. I figured I would post the details here for those of you that are finding my page looking for more information.

Hi everyone,

This is the information that I got today from Eric Abercrombie in the development department about the memorial fund for Cory at Baylor. I wanted to forward along, but I hope that nobody feels like they have to give if they aren’t in a position to. I just wanted to show you because I think it’s neat that once we get the scholarship endowded, it will continue to give money in Cory’s name forever, and his parents will get thank you letters etc from the kids that the money goes to every year. Hope everyone is well.

We now have a fund that has been set up at Baylor in memory of Cory.
If you would like to make a gift to this fund, you can do it in one of two ways:

1. By check
You can send a check (made payable to Baylor University) to:
Baylor University Office of Development
One Bear Place #97026
Waco, Texas 76798-7026
ATTN: Eric Abercrombie

In the memo on the check write: “Cory Case Memorial Fund”

2. Online
You can make a gift online by going to: https://www1.baylor.edu/univdev/
· Select “Online gift process”
· Check “other designation” at the bottom under “Excellence Fund”
· In the text field, type: “Cory Case Memorial Fund”
· Then follow the options on how you want to make the gift.

At this point the family has not decided what area the fund will support, but when they do I’ll communicate it to everyone.

Also, Baylor will send a note to the family for every gift that has been made in memory of Cory. The note will let the family know who made the gift, but the amount of the gift will not be listed.
