A White St. Patrick’s Day?

By Laurie | March 4, 2008

No, it probably won’t still be snowing on March 17, but it’s crazy that it snowed tonight in my area of Texas:

A SNOW ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM FOR AREAS FROM SHERMAN TO MCKINNEY AND LOCATIONS TO THE NORTHEAST.
LIGHT SNOW CONTINUES TO FALL FROM SHERMAN TO MCKINNEY TO BONHAM AND POINTS NORTHEASTWARD. 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS IN THE ADVISORY AREA. MOST OF THE ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED TO BE ON GRASSY AND ELEVATED SURFACES.

I still plan on going to work tomorrow, but may be running a bit late. The streets and lawn/house are covered in sleet, snow and ice now. I took a picture around midnight that I’ll try to remember to post sometime tomorrow.

  1. You guys have the same weather as us! We’re supposed to get another 4-6 inches tonight, even though it was 60 degrees on Sunday.

  2. We are also expecting snow around that time in march, I am ready for spring already!
