$3.05 for a gallon of gas?!

Today as I was driving to work I noticed gas prices were between $3.03 and $3.05. What the heck?! They’ve been hanging out around $2.79 to $2.89 for as long as I can remember. I know in California and Vegas and other places around the country gas prices are far higher than it is here. I guess I should watch the news more, because I just don’t get how they can increase so much in just a day. I really took for granted all the time that I lived and worked in The Lew literally 5 minutes away. I remember gas being 99 cents when I was growing up. I guess everything is more expensive now though. I’m starting to realize that I’m 30 now, not 21. Since I graduated college, I felt like time froze and I was “forever young” or something. I’m not saying I’m “old,” I’m just saying I am more aware of how time seems to be moving more quickly than it did 10 years ago. Back then I was in a hurry for it to speed up. Now I’m beginning to realize I should have sat back and enjoyed it more. *sigh* |

Gas prices near me jumped $0.10 overnight. weird. And I remember gas being $0.89 a gallon too.
Posted by: DrewWelcome to the world of inflation. Gas was $10 a barrel 10 years ago, now it is $100. Plus like $.60 a gallon of that is taxes. It gets pretty crazy. It is still cheaper than milk…
Posted by: JasonGas here went up .20 cents in 4 days! It’s up to 3.19 at the cheapest station in town. Nothing lower than that anywhere in our city. It just makes me sick.
Posted by: JillIt’s $3.27 here today. When I first got my license, it was $0.85. So sad.
