What I’ve Been Up To…
By Laurie | February 18, 2008
| Where do I start? My boss kindly granted me half a day off on Valentine’s Day that I didn’t even ask for, so when David came to pick me up for lunch… I actually got to leave for the day! We headed out and had a nice afteroon together. That morning, I must have turned my alarm off and just went back to sleep, so I was an hour and a half late to begin with. It was a really short day.
Before I left for work, D gave me a card that had a time in the upper right hand corner of the envelope. He then gave me a piece of paper with eight spaces. The card had a note and a sticker inside with part of a poem. He said there were two more cards in my purse with times, and that I would get another at lunch and more throughout the day to complete the poem. I think it was a really cute idea. |

The night before I went and bought a bunch of tulips and put them all around the house. They are my favorite. I buy them several times a month, kind of like I used to when I lived in my first apartment. I never really did stuff like that in our last apartment together, because it just never felt like home. I am glad that I am starting to feel more like myself.
We had a nice dinner and went out and bought the first season of LOST. We watched all the disks in only a few days, so he went and bought season two today. We will be caught up before we know it now. |
| On Friday he took me to my favorite hole in the wall Italian restaurant, and we also went to visit my nephew. Isn’t he the cutest baby ever? I can’t believe he’s going to be one in a few short weeks. That’s further proof that time goes by so quickly. D and I went shopping and I bought a bunch of cute turtle outfits for him. He’s almost walking, and I cannot wait until he’s talking. I am sure that will seem to be here before we know it too.
We also went to see The Spiderwick Chronicles, which was actually pretty disappointing. It seems to have gotten pretty good reviews though, but I thought it was kind of slow and predictable. It’s based on a book (what isn’t these days?), so I am sure the literary version is much better. |

Tonight I’ll be going to the gym for our personal training session, and probably back home for more LOST before bed. I can’t believe I’ll be back at work tomorrow. My time off has flown by. Hopefully next time we are off we can take a nice trip somewhere.

what a great husband you have! Lucky girl.
LOST Season 2 is kind of rough. My mom stopped watching it during S2 but I stuck through and recently made her watch Season 3 since I thought it was great. Now, she’s back in to it!! So, tough it out through 2 because 3 is fantastic.

We have already watched the first disc (four eps) of season 2, and are still into it. We are also watching the current season. I knew I would like it almost as much as Alias!
