Last night David and I went to see The Movie 21 that stars Kate Bosworth, Kevin Spacey, and Jim Sturgess. I got free passes to my e-mail that morning, and just called and reserved our spaces. Luckily it was at Stonebriar (the big mall in Frisco), so we didn’t have to drive out of our way or anything. We had seen the preview for it, and since we both like Vegas and movies based on card games– this was right up our alley. |
I really liked it. I thought it was fun and it kept my attention. There wasn’t too much of a love story, and it really stuck to the main idea of how the group of M.I.T. students were able to con Vegas blackjack dealers. It’s crazy that it is a true story too. How amazing would it be to make over $100,000 in one night playing cards? I love blackjack, but I’m not so sure I’d be able to count cards. I am really fond of Kevin Spacey too, but he plays kind of a scummy professor… so he wasn’t all that likeable. Still, I definitely recommend this for a fun date movie. There wasn’t really anything coming out today that we wanted to see, so we kind of swapped tonight and last night as our weekly “date night” activity.

That sounds like a really good one. I would probably have to see it a few times to take in all of the card playing.
