Weekend Update

Is it bad that I just took the Christmas tree and decorations out today? Usually my goal is to have it down by New Years, but the absolute latest is my birthday. People in our neighborhood still have their lights up, and there is even a huge blow-up Santa in one yard and a snowmen in another. I think that means I’m in the clear.

I just found out some good news– COACH Outlet is coming to the Allen Premium Outlets which just happen to be the closest oulet to our new digs! Very exciting. It opens in Summer of 2008 according to the website, so I have time to save before my first visit. I imagine I’ll be there several weekends a month looking for good deals. |
| I got an early birthday present from my parents yesterday. My car came with a year of free Sirius Satellite Radio, and my subsciption ended on January 4. It costs $12.95/month which is kind of expensive to pay for radio service in your car. I thought a lot about it because I knew that I would really miss it since I use it everyday now that I have a long commute to and from work. When my parents asked what I wanted I decided to see if they would renew it for me. They did, so my service was only off for a day. |  |
Last night Nikki and I met up for some dinner, shopping and drinks. We had a good time and got some good deals on clothes. I think we are really bad shopping influences on each other. I went home with new clothes, new makeup, and a new pair of Coach shoes that match my newest bag. We went out to check out the bar we were thinking about going to after my birthday dinner, but it seemed to cater to an older (than 30) crowd, and it was loud and packed. I think we’ll skip it next weekend. We went next door and I had a (way too strong) margarita at Mi Cocina. By the time I got home I was ready to crash and slept in this morning.
I’m not ready to go back to work tomorrow, but it’s going to be a short week since David is going out of town for work and I took off Wednesday to drive him to the airport. I’ll work from home via my laptop, so it won’t be a real day off. He’ll be coming back Friday night, so I’ll have a few days to chill alone. This will be the first time I’ll be by myself in the new casa! I’m sure I’ll still keep busy.

That is very exciting news! I love Coach! My husband bought me a Coach bag a few years ago and paid full price. What was he thinking? I returned it to a Coach outlet and turned around and bought the exact same bag at the outlet price. I was so proud of myself!
