Time Flies

It seems like it was just Halloween. Can you believe Thanksgiving is the day after tomorrow? Dave and I went grocery shopping for the big meal (we are having my parents and brother’s family over). I don’t think I am ready.
I was hardly home at all over the weekend. On Saturday we attended a wedding and did not get home until 2:00 AM. Then the next morning I woke up, went shopping, attended a bridal shower and drove home to pick D up to go to The Smashing Pumpkins concert that had been cancelled a few weeks back. We didn’t get home and in bed until after 1:00 AM. Needless to say, I was exhausted when my alarm went off at 5:45 AM calling me to get my ass ready for work. It seems like I haven’t had time to relax in six months.
Hopefully after the holidays things with settle down. I’m thinking February since the big 3-0 will be in January and I’m always busy for the rest of the month after that. I’d like to do more decorating and spend more time at the house, but money is tight and that stuff is so expensive. The walls seem so empty, as do the rooms with my old furniture. It is kind of funny.
