Soaps

| I grew up watching soap operas with my grandma when I was probably around 8 years old. I was a dedicated Young & the Restless and Bold & the Beautiful watcher all through college. I swear as soon as I get a TiVo I will be catching up on them. I still watch on holidays or on “sick” days home from work. I’ve also watched As The World Turns a few times, and they just had the first gay kiss on Daytime TV with Luke & Noah. Man have times changed. Remember when the hot couple was Luke & Laura on General Hospital?! |

Strangely, I’m sure hardly anything has changed since you last watched “Young and the Restless”.
I finally had to give up watching it because the age differences of all the children was so totally off. Heather was born before Victoria but April was only 12 and Victoria was 18 and Nicky was like 8 and they were sending him off to a boarding school in Switzerland, so you knew he was coming back in 3-6 months as a 16 year old.
Yet, it took Lauren agonizingly forever to figure out that Sheila had switched their babies. Oy. And I caught a bit of it the other day and discovered that Drucilla who was barely an adult during all of that has a grown up child of her own now, but Victoria and Nicky are only five or so years older. Soap Opera timelines make my head hurt.
I do hope you’re enjoying your new house.
