Come on Over…

Alright… I know I’ve been bad about posting house pictures. Since some of you have been wondering, we did get the keys on Tuesday. Truth be told, we are not even living there yet. We decided to take the move slow, and we will be staying in the Lew for a few more weeks.
We are having custom furniture made, and it won’t even arrive for two weeks at the soonest and 30 days at the longest. That’s why we’re not really in a rush. We’ve been moving boxes over every couple of days after work (and both yesterday and today), but we won’t have the movers come for the couches, bed, office furniture, and washer and dryer until Sunday the 14th. The house still looks super empty. We filled a room with DVDs and CDs yesterday, and have moved nearly all the kitchen items over too.
We had said that we were not going to buy gifts for our anniversary, but then that day Dave insisted that we each buy a little something plus a new boardgame for both of us. We selected a new version of Life that has an electronic spinner. We played it today, and set it up yesterday while we were waiting for the alarm system lady who was over an hour late and didn’t even call us!
We haven’t shopped for a fridge either, nor have I purchased the Crate & Barrel table. I’m still hoping they’ll send me a coupon. If not, I need to do that soon so that D can build it on one of our trips over there before the other furniture arrives. It seems like we still have a lot to do. Luckily on the 13th, our apartment complex is having a “Community Garage Sale,” so I have been saving up a ton of stuff. I have never had a garage sale, so that should be interesting. My garage is full of stuff, so we should really make bank between the two of us. D is selling a whole box full of Star Wars figurines. Heh.

Since the bedrooms are empty, there’s not really any point in posting them. Once the furniture is arranged I will get some pictures, but it’s going to be a month or so probably. We are having Thanksgiving at our house with my parents, so it should be all done by then. *fingers crossed*
