It’s our 3rd Anniversary!

Three years ago today I was up this early at Krista and Ruby’s getting ready for our wedding. It’s hard to believe it’s been that long already. It’s interesting that we are closing on our house today too, because it is like we are starting another chapter in our lives on the very same day.

I am up transferring money around my various accounts. We are going to have to make a stop at the bank to get a cashier’s check before heading to the mortgage company at 10:00 AM. I imagine that is going to take awhile. I hear there are lots of papers to sign. We are really going to be all over the metroplex today. Once we finish there, we will either go back to Arlington to finish up the furniture transaction (we didn’t want them to touch our credit until after closing), or to the house in Frisco to pick up the keys. We are going to bring a few essentials (i.e. toilet paper) when we go. I also bought a really cute doormat at Pier One several years ago when we were house hunting, so that’s going over today too. We will probably do quite a bit more “moving” this weekend, but are not really in too much of a hurry. We have until the end of October, but I anticipate we will be fully over there in another two weeks. |
Since our anniversary is on a weekday this year, we had planned on going to the Murder Myster Dinner at the Gaylord over the weekend. Last weekend was sold out, so we got tickets to go this Saturday. That will be a fun break from all of the house stuff I am sure.

I was totally going to send you some toilet paper! It never fails that I forget to bring some the first day in a new place!
