TGIF

By Laurie | September 14, 2007

Yay! TGIF– It’s almost the weekend! This has been a weird week. I have done no packing or moving related projects since last weekend, so that’s pretty much what we will be doing again this Saturday and Sunday. It doesn’t look like I will be having much fun.

We did get out last Saturday night though, after cleaning all day. Dave wanted to see Shoot ‘Em Up, and an hour and 33 minutes of looking at Clive Owen is always time well spent in my book. The plot was completely ridiculous (killing people with carrots?!), but it was still fun to watch in a weird sort of way. I am also not a fan of Paul Giamatti playing “bad guys,” and this one was completely over-the-top. We thought it would be the Crank of 2007, and we were right. As I recall, we both laughed our way through that one. Shoot ‘Em Up was in the same vein. What happens is so outrageous that it is out of the realm of believable.

Normally we go to the movies on Friday night, and I think we talked about seeing 3:10 to Yuma tonight since there is nothing new he wants to see this week. It will be another evening of eye candy for me, complements of Christian Bale. Not to say I will be bored though. I actually like Westerns. Tombstone is one of my favorite movies. I’m also a Young Guns fan, and not just because Jon Bon Jovi did the soundtrack. Heh. I’ll let you know how I like this one. I want to see Sydney White (Amanda Bynes is just too cute). I’ll have to save that for a solo trip or a night with the girls.
