Blogathon 2007

I heard about this on one of the message boards that I visit daily. It sounds like a lot of fun, and so many people have shared their stories of how rewarding it was for them. I decided I’d like to join, so…On Saturday, July 28 I will be participating in Blogathon 2007 starting at 6am PST. I will be supporting the The Global Fund, an organization that helps fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria worldwide. I hope that you will Sponsor Me in my effort. It will take place right here, on La Vie de Laurie.I am planning to do some fun things for the event. As many of you know, I have been a big supporter of Bono’s (PRODUCT)RED in the past, as a portion of the proceeds from those products are donated to The Global Fund. I will be giving away (RED) products during the 24 Hour Event to those that participate in discussions as well as those that donate. I haven’t worked out the details yet, but I will most likely do live drawings via webcam. If you are a supporter of the cause, this is a great way to see 100% of your donation go directly to the charity.
My goal is to raise awareness, and hopefully a bit of money for this wonderful and worthy charity.
You will be seeing a lot more about this from me as the date (July 28) approaches. You can begin donating now. At some point I will probably start begging for donations, but that is really not my style.
