It’s William’s Birthday!

Today’s the day we’ve all been waiting for– Baby William was born!Tom and Marie arrived at the hospital (Baylor in Grapevine) at around 6:00PM yesterday. They were originally going to induce this morning. They monitored her throughout the night, and had discovered that the baby’s heart rate had dropped. An emergency ce-section was performed at 9:00AM this morning, and at 9:54AM perfect William Thomas Kisner came into the world!I arrived at the hospital after both sets of grandparents had come and gone, but I was the first (other than Tom and Marie) to hold him. As I walked down the hall toward their room, I stopped at the nursery window and looked in. There were several babies there, but I knew right away which one was my new nephew. He was the cutest, most handsome baby ever. He was also wearing a hat that said “William,” but I’d like to think I would have been able to pick him out of a lineup. He looks like my brother I think, and he has Marie’s ears and nose. He also was lucky enough to inherit a dimple, thanks to Grandpa Kisner.He slept most of the afternoon. I witnessed his first diaper change and feeding. David came up after he got off work, and he met him too. We brought him two new stuffed turtle friends for his awesome turtle nursery.We are very, very excited to welcome William into our family!
